Every feature, at a glance
What TymedIn ships with, and how each piece keeps screen-time honest.
Limits that fit real life
A warning, not a wall
When time runs low, the screen gently darkens and the volume fades. Kids notice, but nothing is yanked away mid-task.
A wall, when it's needed
Past the cap, the app is fully blocked. Re-launching it just lands on the home screen, and a cooldown keeps it locked for a few more minutes.
Soft and hard limits both work on per-launch and per-day axes at the same time. The stricter cap always wins.
Limits & enforcement
The core of TymedIn: how it actually caps screen time.
Per-launch caps
Cap how long a single uninterrupted session can last. Close the app and the per-launch timer resets.
Per-day caps
Cap total daily time across all sessions. Resets at local midnight.
Soft limits
A gentle warning before time runs out. The screen dims and the volume fades.
Hard limits
Once time's up, the app is blocked. Re-opening it just lands on the home screen.
Cooldown
After a hard cap, the app stays locked for the cooldown you set. No instant retry.
Profiles for everyone
Different rules for different people, or different days.
Multiple profiles
Create a profile for each family member, or one for weekday vs weekend. Each has its own managed apps and limits.
Per-profile defaults
Set default limits once for a profile and they apply to every app you add. Override per app whenever you need to.
Quick switching
Switch the active profile in one tap. Time already used today still counts in each profile's bucket.
Security & access
Only you decide what changes.
Parent password
A parent password with a recovery question, in case you forget. Required for anything that changes how limits work.
Biometric unlock
Optional fingerprint, face, or device PIN unlock so you don't have to type your password every time.
Locks behind a tap
Apps, profiles, and settings only open after you unlock. TymedIn auto-locks the moment you put the phone away.
Built to resist bypassing
The obvious workarounds, and how TymedIn closes them.
Settings sentinel
Trying to disable TymedIn from Android settings hits a password prompt first.
Uninstall protection
With device-admin enabled, uninstalling TymedIn also requires the parent password.
Time-tamper safe
Changing the system clock or rebooting the phone can't reset today's limits.
Made for daily use
The small things that make it feel right every day.
Launcher-style dashboard
Your managed apps as a clean grid. Tap one to open it; tap a locked one to see the countdown.
Light & dark theme
Follow your system theme, or pin it to light or dark.
English & Spanish
Pick your in-app language from Settings.
